Pupusas — thick corn-flour tortillas filled with either cheese, crispy pork rinds or refried beans — draw crowds at Rinconcito Salvadoreno restaurant (2026 Commercial Dr., 604-879-2600).

BUY: JJ Bean Coffee

Although many of the Drive’s Italian café owners may call foul, coffee from Vancouver-based chain JJ Bean (2206 Commercial Dr., 604- 254-3723) is an authentic and delicious cup of brew.
