Celebrating Its 10th Year!
A GuestLife New Mexico Great Gallery
Located on the SANTA FE PLAZA Native Jackets is celebrating its 10th year!
You will find jackets for all ages and sizes, men and women in a wide variety of colors and styles. Many are made from our own line of blankets, many from Pendleton blankets. You can also choose a blanket and have a custom jacket made just for you. We have done thousands of these over the years and will gladly do another for you!
You can enjoy our museum-quality collection of antique and contemporary Native art, including Navajo weavings, Pueblo pottery, and Southwestern baskets. This includes such recognizable names as potters Maria Martinez, Marie Z. Chino and Rose Gonzales. You will find extraordinary Navajo wearing blankets dating from the 1870s; world-class rugs like 1890s Germantowns; Toadlena/Two Grey Hills; Teec Nos Pos; Ganado rugs from 1910 and contemporary masterpieces.
Native Jackets enjoys a special relationship with the Toadlena Trading Post where Native art aficionados are excited to see history in the making. Future generations will marvel at the quality rugs and tapestries made by the Toadlena weavers under the watchful eye of Mark Winter. Always know as the best Navajo rugs, the Toadlena Trading Post’s reputation is as strong as ever. Many of these rugs are on hand at Native Jackets. Native Jackets has become a “don’t miss destination” on the SANTA FE PLAZA!
