Sandia Peak Tramway Offers a Beautiful View of Albuquerque,
One of the great attractions for tourists or local residents to visit is the Sandia Peak Ski & Tramway in Northeast Albuquerque off of Tramway Blvd. It is open year-round with varying hours depending on the season. There are usually two running tram carts that transport passengers more than ten thousand feet to the high point of Sandia Peak. Each tram fits about 30 people. There are no seats, only a few upright bars to hold on to. A tour guide provides some interesting facts as the tram glides up the cables to the top of the peak. The view of the mountains and sky are amazing.
