Honoring the Master Artisans
Monterey Bay's By Design
The Lights of Rome has established itself as a patron to the vanishing artisans of Europe. The masters they proudly present have created the finest of hand-crafted works for centuries of royalty with museum-quality standards. Each handcrafted piece is designed from generations of Italian wood carvers to Murano-Italian glass blowers, with the finest of old world craftsmanship and artistic imagination. Their artistic excellence is infused into every piece of furniture, lighting creation, or handembroidered textile imported by Lights of Rome.
Enter Lights of Rome and step back in time to 1900 when families of artists such as Casa D’Arte Paoletti created furniture and produced some of Italy’s finest and most famous wood furniture throughout Europe. As maestros in wood carving, five generations of master carving can be seen in the finest Italian and French villas as well as European ministry buildings. This influence is now present in their current collection.
Arte Veneziana Arredo has been perfecting their passion on the island of Murano, handed down from father to son since the year 982. Their creations are meticulously hand-etched, mouth-blown, glass goblets and faithfully recreated masterpiece versions of 17th and 18th century Venetian mirrors, as classic and elegant as their past generation.
Embellished with a king’s crown, the Fagetti Family has been producing Catholic vestments for the church for eight generations. Their collections of luxurious hand-embroidered velvets and silks are each inspired by the Renaissance arts.
New collections will feature the whimsical French porcelain lighting designs of Sofie Arnaud exclusively at Lights of Rome. Also featured are handmade French butcher blocks, crafted for generations for France’s boucherie, now available for domestic applications.
